HOW TO CREATE THE PERFECT AT HOME SPA FACIAL REGIME...

Step 1

Relax

Light some scented candles in your bathroom, close the door and dim the lights creating a warm, cosy spa ambience.

Prepare

Fill your basin with clean warm water in preparation for your at home spa treatment regime.

Cleanse

Why? The first step in a facial regime is to cleanse the skin. Cleansing the skin will remove any traces of make-up, dirt and pollution your skin has acquired.
How Often? You should cleanse the skin every morning and evening without fail.

Gentle Cleansing Facial Wash

Suitable for all skin types.

Black Mud Soap

Recommended for dry or problem skin conditions.

Cleansing Bar

What do I do?
Standing over your basin and using your chosen cleansing product together with water to foam, gently massage the face, paying particular attention to areas of congestion i.e. the nose, forehead and chin. Rinse face with warm water and pat dry.

Exfoliate

Why? Exfoliation improves the skin's appearance by removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Removing excess dead skin cells can reveal the younger and healthier-looking skin underneath.
How Often? You should exfoliate the skin 2-3 times a week after cleansing.

Mild Exfoliant

Suitable for all skin types.


What do I do?
Add Mild Exfoliant to the palm of your hands and add warm water. In a similar process to cleansing, massage the product in small circular movements over your face, paying greater attention to congested areas. Rinse face with warm water and pat dry.

Step 5

Mask

Why? Masks provide deep facial cleansing, removing all impurities. They also moisturise and hydrate the skin, leaving you with a silky smooth finish.
Many masks contain active anti-ageing ingredients to prevent wrinkles and
fine lines occurring.
How Often? You should apply a mask to the face once or twice a week after exfoliation.

Delicate Boosting Mask

Suitable for sensitive, mature skin types.

Mud Mask

Most beneficial for problem skins.

Algimud Peel-Off Active Seaweed Facial Mask

Great for anti-ageing.


What do I do? Having exfoliated your face, apply your chosen mask to the face using your fingertips, avoiding the delicate eye area. How long you need to keep the mask on for depends on which mask you have used, directions for application may also slightly vary, so be sure to read the directions on the back of the product for instructions. Leaves mask on for required time then rinse face with warm water and pat dry.

Moisturise

Why? Moisturising keeps your skin nourished and hydrated. In addition to this moisturisers have several additional effects, including building a barrier against the loss of water through the skin, repairing scaly, damaged or dry areas, repairing, and helping to prevent the aging effects on the skin.
How Often? You need to moisturise your facial twice daily, morning and evening after thoroughly cleansing. This is the last step in your daily spa facial regime.

Excellent for all skin skin. Great make-up base.

Super Night Cream

For dry skins and extra moisture through the night.


What do I do? Apply moisturiser to your finger and massage over a dry face, avoiding the delicate eye area. Let the minerals penetrate your skin and the minerals work their magic!

Why? Problem or acne skins will benefit from using an anti-bacterial gel or cream to spots or whiteheads. This will reduce inflammation and prevent bacteria from spreading, stopping spots in their tracks!
How Often? Specific spot related products should be used as required when
a spot is present.

Spot-on-Gel

For problem/acne skin.


What do I do?
After cleansing face morning and evening apply Spot-On Gel sparingly with a cotton bud or fingertip directly onto the area.

Step 8

Take 10-15 minutes to sit back and relax in your at home spa, with candles lit, letting all the minerals start working and hydrating your skin and relaxing your mind!

 

Spa Lifestyle Tips

Drink plenty of water each day, if you are a coffee drinker after each cup of coffee, instead of following with another, why not try a glass of water. This will help to hydrate you and flush out the caffeine that will de hydrate your skin. Cranberry juice is great for the bladder and is full of anti oxidants.

Sleep is also very important, but if you have a busy life style it’s easier said than done. So, before you get into bed try to unwind, read a book, have a nice relaxing bath with some salts, avoid any tea or coffee after 8pm, also don't put the TV on in your bed room, as it distracts you from your much need sleep… a nice quiet room will welcome sleep. Try a hot milk with a teaspoon of honey to make you sleepy, plus the honey is great for your complexion!

As its getting cooler, and the winter months are setting in, vegetables are great, how ever you wish to eat it, it will keep your energy levels up and make you feel good, as well as helping your skin to look great and healthy. The most beneficial ones are broccoli, carrots, cabbage. Fruit will also help with your complexion and energy levels, oranges provide you with vitamin c, strawberries or cranberries are anti oxidants and bananas give us much needed potassium.

Another top spa lifestyle tip is stretching! Stretch 2-4 times daily, each for 30 seconds! This gets the muscles warmed, and more flexible, plus, a good couple of stretches in the morning feels great and kick starts your body for the day!
